Keyword or phrase analysis

Finding the right search phrase or keyword, is the most important stage of your Google Search engine optimisation project.

You need to give yourself some time to construct a list of every keyword or phrase that you can think of that describes what you sell or do. This is also known as brainstorming. Come up with plenty of ideas; ask other people for ideas too, including your customers. Try to figure out what someone would type into search engines in order to find your site. This could be one word or a string of words (a phrase). Focus on 2 and 3 words phrases, like “Realtor California” or “London mortgage advisor”

After you've chosen your phrases/keywords, we perform measurements and tests over a week, to see whether they can deliver the amount of traffic and conversions you expected. We then make the necessary adjustments and refine your search phrases and will send you the results similar to the below table. This is where you get an idea about the cost and time frame that takes to get decsent results for a given phrase:

html tags adjustments

1- META tags are used by search engines to allow them to more accurately list your site in their indexes. Below is a typical search results that you get on Search engines:

WebFroroosh Meta tags explained

Perhaps the most important tag on a web site, as far as search engine rankings go, is the Title tag. This tag provides the description that appears at the top of the browser window in order to let an Internet user know where they are. Because this tag is also used as the official "Title" of your web site in most search engine results, it also provides one of your best chances to entice a web surfer to visit your site.

the Description Tag still holds some sway over the major search engines. When used by the engines, this text is usually the basis for the description of the site on search engine results pages. A proper Meta Description tag should provide a brief, accurate, keyword rich description of the site's content. Note that no search engine will display more than 250 characters of the Meta Description tag, so it's best to keep this one brief and to the point.

Keyword Tag: Once thought to be the golden key to high search engine rankings, the importance of the Keyword tag has dropped dramatically over the last few years. Although most major engines no longer make use of the Keyword tag, it is still worthwhile to include it for the smaller engines that do.

webforoosh Meta tag generator, uses the latest online competitions data for a particular keyword or phrase, to generate the most efficient title tag for your web page. A carefully chosen title tag, can put you far ahead of your competitors.

It should be noted that several search engines are believed to penalize the rankings of sites that include irrelevant keywords within these tags. Could this be why you're not happy with your site's natural search results?

2-Alt tags are the text you see on a web page when Hovering your mouse over an image or text. Alt tags are good coding practice for several reasons:

  • Alt tags let visitors know an image is being formatted before it is displayed. Like the text visitors read as they wait, they can anticipate the image before it appears.

  • Search engines can only read text. Images with alt tags allow search engines to match the description to the site's content possibly aiding in search engine rankings. Hence, the Google Images search.

  • So, hover over the images or text in your website. Do they have the important alt text included? webforoosh, adhere to proper coding standards. If your web developer is not following fundamental, we take care of it on our SEO packages.

3- h1, h2, h3 tags: There are other html tags which can greatly enhance your organic search ranking, like h1, h2 and h3 tags, and they should be used in your html coding.

4- Latest rules for writing HTML documents:

  • All tag and attribute names must be in lowercase. Thus, you can't write <A HREF="foo.html">...</A> but must instead write this in lowercase, as : <a href="foo.html">...</a>

  • "Empty" tags must be written with an extra slash at the end. An empty tag is one like <br> or <img src="foo.html"> that doesn't have a </br> or <img> to end it. In XHTML, such tags must be written as: <br />, and <img src="foo.gif" />.

  • You can never omit an end tag. With HTML, you could sometimes leave off an end tag, as in <p> ..... paragraph text <p> ..... more paragraph text With XHTML, you must always put in the end tag, so that the preceding must be written as: <p> ..... paragraph text </p> <p> ..... more paragraph text </p>

  • Attributes must always have a value. In HTML you can sometimes omit atttibute values, as in <hr size="2" noshade> in XHTML, this would need to be written as: <hr size="2" noshade="noshade" />

  • Attributes values must always be quoted.. In HTML you can sometimes omit the quotes,as in <hr size=2> in XHTML, this would need to be written as: <hr size="2" />

Keyword density and placement on your web page

The importance of keywords to a website is felt in two ways:

keyword density: How many times your keywords repeated on the page makes a difference to all of the search engine algorithms. It can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase. Due to the ease of managing keyword density, search engines usually implement other measures of relevancy to prevent dishonest webmasters from creating search spam through practices such as keyword stuffing.

Different search engines have different standards for the amount of times you can use your keyword on your site without invoking a penalty. webforoosh suggests an average keyword density of 2 to 5%., to avoid penalties for keyword stuffing from search engines.

keyword placement: Where the keywords are located on your page is important, to varying degrees with the major search engines. A common practice is to use more keywords on top of the page and less on the bottom of the page.

Minimizing code errors and Markup validation:

One of the time consuming SEO steps, is to clean your web page from code errors. Most Web documents are written using markup languages, such as HTML or XHTML. The act of checking a document against these standards is called validation, and this is what the Markup Validation Service does.

You can check here if your site is validated or how many coding errors are there on your web page. Validating Web documents is an important step which can dramatically help improving SEO and ranking.

As part of
webforoosh SEO packages, your website will be cleaned from any possible errors, making sure it passes the validation test with minimum errors.

Manual submission to main search engines

"Search engine submission" refers to the act of getting your web site listed with search engines. Getting listed does not mean that you will necessarily rank well for particular terms, however. It simply means that the search engine knows your pages exist.

webforoosh SEO packages offer manual web site submission. We visit each search engine site individually and fill out the required information for that search engine. webforoosh doesn't use fancy scripts or programs for automatic submissions, simply because they don’t work and worse of all, you might get penalty from search engines for using excessive and automatic submissions and lose your hard-earned ranking.

Never fall for phrases like: ”2000 search engine submissions for $100”, It doesn't’t work like that. Some of webforoosh SEO projects with only 5 manual search engine submissions, appear on top 3 result.

Site updates, fresh content and new pages

If you ran a shop on the high street you'd change the window every now and again to keep it fresh and keep new customers coming in, and more importantly, entice old customers to come back again. Same goes for your website. If nothing on it ever changes, why should visitors come back, let alone search engines. Never update your website and it will be relegated to the shopping equivalent of a back street with all the failing shops on it, dust on the window displays and no customers.

blogs or RSS feeds are effective ways to keep your web site content fresh.

Immediate main directory submission

Directories are search engines powered by human beings. Human editors compile all the listings that directories have. Getting listed with the major directories is very important, because their listings are seen by many people. In addition, if you are listed with them, then crawler-based search engines are more likely to find your site and add it to their listings for free.

If you like to know more about the relationship between major Search engines and directories, and who takes order from who, have a look at Bruce Clay chart.

What we need you to do, before directory submission, is to prepare a 25 word description of your website. That description should make use of the two or three keywords that you hope to be found for.

It is essential that the description you write not make use of marketing language. So, if you sold shoes and wanted to be found for terms such as "athletic shoes" and "running shoes," you might write: "Purchase athletic shoes, running shoes, hiking boots and other footwear plus try our cross country trail finder."

You would not want a description like this, which is full of marketing hype, which editors dislike: World's LARGEST online shoe store with the best prices from the greatest brands!!!!

being listed in main directories like Yahoo, will potentially help ranking better in crawler-based results. Yahoo has two submission options: "Standard", which is free, and "Yahoo Express," which involves a submission fee of $300/year

If you use the Standard submit choice, there's no guarantee that your submission will be reviewed quickly or at all. That’s why webforoosh choose Yahoo Express submission, simply for a fast turnaround time. Yahoo Express submission is a standard feature on all webforoosh SEO packages (except the Base pack) and it costs $300 annually. Needless to say, this fee is already included in your package pricing. No need to pay anything extra for the first year.

Link popularity build-up with quality web sites

Link popularity is the single most influential factor for determining how well a web site will perform in search engine rankings. A web site's link popularity is measured by quality of links pointing to a web site. web sites that had a higher number of high quality links were looked upon favourably by the search engines.

Building link popularity for a website can be a time consuming, monotonous, and daunting task which requires a lot of patience. It is important to carefully plan the long term popularity results while maintaining a low risk of penalty throughout. Don't forget building up too much links, too fast is bad and not natural, hence risk of penalty by search engines.

with webforoosh SEO packages, your link popularity will grow over the course of 2 to 18 months depending on the SEO package you choose.

Buying text links For search-engine optimization purposes?

webmasters often buy links for their sites. As links from higher-PR pages are believed to be more valuable, they tend to be more expensive. It can be an effective and viable marketing strategy to buy link advertisements on content pages of quality and relevant sites to drive traffic and increase a webmaster's link popularity.

However, Google has publicly warned webmasters that if they are or were discovered to be selling links for the purpose of conferring PageRank and reputation, their links will be devalued (ignored in the calculation of other pages' Page Ranks). The practice of buying and selling links is intensely debated across the Web mastering community. Google officially advises that users should place rel="nofollow" on such purchased links.

More readings about link popularity:
Main classes of links: In the following examples Site A is our web site and Site B is an outside site (i.e. a web site under a different domain name than Site A).

Inbound links: Inbound links to a web site are links that originate from an outside web site. An example would be a link on Site B pointing into a page on Site A, like this: Site A (----- Site B

Outbound links: Outbound links from a web site are links pointing to a page on an outside web site. An example would be a link on Site A pointing out to a page on Site B, like this: Site A -----) Site B

There are two further classifications of links:
Reciprocal links: An example of a reciprocal link is when Site A links to Site B AND Site B links to Site A, the link is reciprocated by both parties.
Site A -----) Site B AND Site A (----- Site B

The best form of Link popularity, as long as scoring on search engines is concerned, is the Inbound links.

Additional supportive domain names and website

One way to beat your online competitors is to become them! Imagine searching for a phrase online and 4 of the top 10 results are your web sites! A main sites, and the other 3, the supportive sites and domains.

Example: Say you like to be on top 3 results for the phrase “Travel Iran”. What we do is to register a domain name called traveliran.com, make a new website for it and tune the site for the phrase “Travel Iran”. we can expect a good ranking results for the phrase “Travel Iran” after 4 months.

But how about other related phrase like: “traveling to Iran” or “Iran Travel”, They are all related to the main phrase, “Travel Iran, don’t they? We surely should have decent search results for all related phrases, don't we? This is where supportive domains come handy.

The trick is to register as many related domain names as possible, making a simple web page for all of them, (Not duplicates web sites, to avoid spamming or clocking) and tune them for the related search phrases. In this example, we need to register “TravellingToIran.com” and “IranTravel.com” as well. These are called supportive domains.

Eventually when all supportive domains are listed with search engines, we link them all to the main site, making them all part of a big online Corleone family of Travel Iran sites!

Not only this will help us to TARGET SEARCHERS WITH MORE PHRASES, but also we stop competitors to register the related domains. (Its a common SEO practice to choose a domain name that contain your keywords, it helps your search results. Example: If your search phrase is Travel Iran, you score more if your domain name is also called TrvaelIran.com)

Obviously, we put most of the SEO effort on the main domain name, and wont be expecting same results from supportive domains, but there are a lot to do with supportive domains , which you will find out in the process of webforoosh SEO packages.
Again, no extra costs on supportive domains, all included in webforoosh SEO packages.
